  • An assembly hall with large stage, fully equipped for plays and discos

  • a variety of lighting arrangements available to suit the event

  • a kitchen with range cooker (but no pans or trays), a fridge freezer, sink unit with hot water

  • instantaneous water heater for hot drinks

  • 80 place settings of crockery and cutlery, but no glasses or tea towels

  • separate ladies and gentlemens's toilet facilities, including a disabled toilet, which have all been recently renovated. Baby changing table

  • 100 comfortable chairs, 50 plastic chairs, 15 small square tables and 11 large tables

  • car parking for approximately 25 cars

  • hall large enough to accommodate a small bouncy castle

The hall hire charges include use of all the hall furniture, kitchen equipment, crockery and cutlery. You will need to provide suitable bin liners for the removal of any waste which can then be disposed in the bin at the side of the hall.


Events and Parties with alcoholic drinks

We do not allow the supply of alcoholic drinks for your guests. The hall is NOT licenced for the sale of alcoholic drinks. You may apply for access to the adjoining Birches Free House.


Do you want a bar for a private function?

The hall has an arrangement with the Birches Free House regarding the use of a bar for functions if this is required. A door directly links the hall with the Birches Free House Bar. The Birches is separate from the Memorial Hall, and use of the bar facilties must be agreed with the Landlord Mr Mike Harrison. There may be an additional fee payable to the Birches Free House.
